Ryzen Mounting System, to mount your old Thermalright rads

0

On its side, the Thermalright brand announces the arrival of new mounting mechanisms for its legacy heatsinks. The goal is to offer AM4/AM5 compatible mounting systems to heatsinks that have passed under the legacy status. Two versions of the Ryzen Mounting System are proposed: TR-AM5-A and TR-AM5-B.

Ryzen Mounting System: give your old Thermalright heatsink a facelift!

On the menu, we find two versions of the Thermalright mounting system. If they are not intended for the same heatsinks, overall, we find the same elements. Thus, they consist of four screws, four spacers and a chrome mounting plate. And it is this element that changes depending on the version of the kit.

On your side, if you have a Grand Macho Series, AXP-100 Series, True Spirit 90/120/140, Archon IB-E x2 or Silver Arrow ITX, you will need the type A. Silver Arrow SB-E/IB-E, AXP-200 R/Muscle, Archon SB-E or Silver Arrow ITX-R owners will have to go for type B.

As for the mounting procedure, it doesn’t seem too complicated. You will have to remove the original mounting arms from your AMD card. Then, we will screw the mounting plate on the backplate through the spacers. All that remains is to fix the heatsink to the system in place.

The price is $9.99.
