New overclocking records have been added to ASUS’s list of achievements, with a number of records being broken. The Ryzen 9 9950X achieved a high clock speed, and five benchmark records were set. Of course, the ASUS Crosshair X870E HERO was used! You can find our test here (English version coming soon).
Ryzen 9 9950X: CPU reaches 7.55 GHz!
On the frequency side, elmor was in control. Here, the configuration took advantage of a Ryzen 9 9950X and an ASUS X870E HERO motherboard. In terms of memory, we had 32 GB of DDR5 running at 6200 MT/s, while the timings were set to 30-36-36-42-62.
In short, by deactivating hyperthreading, pushing the multiplication coefficient to 75 and applying a voltage of 1.075V (reported by CPU-Z, but false), the processor reached 7548.68 MHz, rounded up to 7.55 GHz!
As far as the scores are concerned, we’re not talking about absolute records (all categories combined), but records in the CPU-related and 16-core categories. This time it’s not elmor, but SafeDisk who’s taking the lead.
The South Korean overclocker takes the lead in five benchmarks:
- Geekbench Multi Core: 170,646 pts
- 7-Zip: 321,970 MIPS
- Cinebench R20: 23,550 pts
- Cinebench R23:60,798 pts
- HWBot x265 Benchmark 4K: 77.57 FPS
In short, big GG to both overclockers for these new records!
