Ryzen 9 9900X Shows Up on Passmark

The Ryzen 9 9900X is a high-end reference for the upcoming 9000 generation. Initially scheduled for July 31, this generation has been pushed back by two weeks. In any case, this hasn’t stopped the aforementioned model from landing in PassMark’s database.

As you can see, the processor posted a single-core score of 4652 pts versus 53863 pts in multi-core. This puts it right up there with the i7 14700K and i9 14900K. While the 14900K displays 4700/4750 pts in single-core mode, the i7 14700K is in the 53,400 pts range in multi-core mode.

As a reminder, the 9900X boasts a total of twelve cores and 24 threads. It runs at base frequencies of 4.4 GHz and 5.6 GHs in turbo mode. This processor features 76 MB of L3 cache, while its TDP has been seriously reduced compared to the current-generation 7900X. From 170W to 120W, a reduction of 50W!

Finally, in terms of price, we’re expecting this CPU to come in at around $450, at least that’s what’s been leaked via Newegg and BestBuy.
