While the Ryzen 9000 was due to arrive yesterday, there was a little indiscretion on the part of Newegg and BestBuy. While the prices have been withdrawn by the merchants, the famous @momomo_us managed to take some snapshots before the cards were withdrawn.
Ryzen 9000 prices leaked by Newegg and BestBuy?
First and foremost, this price leak may be due to a minor oversight on the part of retailers, since the CPUs were due to be launched yesterday. However, their launch was postponed by two weeks, probably due to a typographical error on their IHS. In any case, it could be that the prices displayed are the right ones, since both merchants are offering the same prices.
In detail, we find a Ryzen 9 9950X priced at $599, versus $449 for the Ryzen 9 9900X. Then there are the more affordable Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X at $359 and $279 respectively.
Faced with the Ryzen 7000 range, we see modified prices, but above all prices revised downwards. Indeed, the 9950X and 9900X lose $100 respectively compared to their 7000 counterparts. The 9700X and 9600X are also down by $40 and $20 respectively.
Now it remains to be seen whether these prices are confirmed or not. If they do, it’s good news for end-users. It would also allow AMD to avoid cannibalizing its own series with the upcoming 9000X3D.
