Obviously, AMD would have provided the official MSRP of its future RX 7600 and seems to be well on its way to win the price battle with NVIDIA. Moreover, knowing this, we can better understand the sudden drop of the little Arc A750 from the blue. In fact, AMD positions its card at some $269, or about 300 € here!
RX 7600: towards a $269 bill!
As a reminder, the 7600 represents the new generation of AMD cards for the mid-range sector ” -“. The card has a complete Navi 33 chip engraved in 6 nm. It contains a total of 2048 stream processors distributed in 32 compute units, all clocked at 2655 MHz in boost. Finally, we have a total of 8 GB of GDDR6 running at 18 Gbps with a memory bus of 128 bits. The bandwidth hits 288 GB/s. Like the RTX 4060, the bus is truncated since we find a PCIe 4.0 x8. As for the power supply, the card should consume in the 165W max, we have an auxiliary power supply via PCIe 8-pin.
Here we are finally, the selling price. Apparently, via an email from AMD, we learn that the card will be positioned at $269 USD or 299 € in Europe. So the reds win the price battle against the RTX 4060 non-Ti (unless there’s a last-minute adjustment), its real rival. Moreover, with such a pricing, we understand the abrupt adjustment of the Arc A750. It remains to be seen if this is an official drop now.
