XFX joins the Sapphire brand by offering an unusual card with its RX 6700 Wolf Warrior. For the record, this is a laptop card declined in desktop card. The interest? Reduce the consumption of the card without hitting too much on the performance!
RX 6700 XT Wolf Warrior: an atypical card from XFX!
With this card, we find an unusual GPU configuration. Indeed, if we take a closer look, the chip shares the same characteristics as the RX 6700M. In fact, this is quite normal since it is the same GPU. In fact, it’s a laptop GPU in a PCIe version, as we said here.
The chip contains 2305 stream processors, 144 TMUs and 64 ROPs. On the memory side, we find a total of 10 GB of GDDR6 coupled with a memory bus of 160 bits. Coupled with an operating frequency of 16 Gbps, the whole allows a bandwidth of 320 GB / s.
Otherwise, as we can see, the card of XFX displays a custom heatsink topped by three 90 mm fans. On the back, we are treated to a nice backplate with an opening at the back facilitating cooling. However, XFX does not seem to be overclocking the card from the factory, as it has a boost of 2425 MHz.
On the other hand, we have a word on performance. On the games Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption II, the framerate is 153 FPS, 60 FPS and 67 respectively. Obviously, according to ITHome the resolutions are in QHD with a high quality of detail.
For the price, it is 2499 yuan, or 336.95 € after conversion.
