If a post on Board Channel is to be believed, AMD has jumped on the production brake for its little board. Even though it’s a not-so-old model, it has already found its replacement: the RX 7600.

As a reminder, the 6650 XT is a refresh version launched last year in May. It is based on the same Navi 23 XT GPU as the RX 6600 XT. Its configuration features 2048 stream processors, 128 TMUs and 64 ROPs. Its memory is based on 8 GB GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus.

However, the main difference between this model and the 6600 XT concerns operating speeds. The GPU increases from 2589 MHz to 2635 MHz, while memory now reaches 17.5 Gbps, up from 16 Gbps. The result is an increase in theoretical performance from 10.6 TFLOP to 10.79 TFLOP in FP32, while memory bandwidth has been increased from 256 GB/s to 280.3 GB/s.

For the time being, stocks seem to be still present, but it is estimated that by the end of September there will be none left. At the moment, the card is facing very big promotions. In China, it’s not uncommon to see it priced at under 2,000 yuan (€253), compared with its launch price of 3,099 yuan (€393). Some aggressive promos even have it priced at 1,739 yuan (€220). It’s a sign that retailers/brands are looking to clear the way.
