RTX 4070 shipments suspended until June?
As you can see, if you don’t want to lower the price of a component, you have to play on the quantity of stock. This is a strategy that AMD has mastered since Lisa Su announced that it had resorted to it during a meeting with investors, but NVIDIA also lends itself to it. Indeed, not long ago, the green reduced their production by 4070 which will continue until June.
By doing this, the objective is to avoid having too much stock of cards that do not sell. You know the story: if there is more supply than demand, prices will fall. Especially since too much price drop of the 4070 would be detrimental for the upcoming RTX 4060 Ti.
As it is, the card can be found around € 620 in France with the Ghost version of Gainward at Alternate.fr. Otherwise, we can turn to the MSI Ventus or Palit Twin x2 accessible around 660 €. Proof that the strategy works and that the models available under the MSRP are not legion.
