In the mini-PC category, ASUS has announced a new configuration featuring an AMD Ryzen 9 HX3D processor paired with a mobile RTX 5070. It’s a powerful setup housed in a tiny 3-liter chassis. It also comes with a full range of connectivity options, as well as plenty of RAM and storage.

A Ryzen 9 HX3D and an RTX 5070M:
This new mini-PC boasts a very compact footprint, measuring just 56.5 (W) x 187.7 (D) x 282.4 (H) mm. It’s also very lightweight, tipping the scales at just 2.73 kg. However, it’s what’s inside that makes this PC truly impressive, as it features a powerful configuration. Specifically, the processor is a model equipped with 16 cores and 32 threads. ASUS offers a choice between the Ryzen 9 8940HX, the Ryzen 9 9955HX, and the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, which features 3D V-Cache. In all cases, this model’s thermal design power (TDP) is 55W.
For graphics, you’ll have the choice between a mobile RTX 5070 or a mobile RTX 5060. Please note that these are laptop graphics cards, whose specifications are lower than those of their desktop counterparts.
The RAM capacity could be substantial, with 96 GB ofDDR5 running at 5600 MT/s, while the SSD configuration offers two slots: one PCIe 5.0 x4 and a second PCIe 4.0 x4.
Connectivity:
In terms of connectivity, this machine offers a comprehensive set of ports, including 2.5 GbE Ethernet and Wi-Fi 7. For video output, it features two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort ports, and aUSB4 port that also functions as a DisplayPort. The USB section features six USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, along with two USB-C ports, one USB 4 port, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port.
In short, it also features an efficient cooling system with three blower-style fans.

In terms of price, the base model starts at €2,888, while the flagship model is priced at €3,478, likely for the configuration featuring a Ryzen 9955HX3D paired with an RTX 5070 and 96 GB of RAM.
