Ridge: an ultra compact Fractal Design case!

Fractal Design announces its Ridge case, a compact model that can be oriented horizontally or vertically. This new model is intended for ITX configurations and can accommodate graphics cards up to 335 mm long!

Ridge: a compact case, vertical or horizontal!

Fractal Design Ridge The program includes a compact case with the following dimensions: 74 (W) x 395.4 (H) x 114 (D) mm vertically. Horizontally, the case measures 360 (W) x 375 (D) x 115 (H) mm. In all cases, the weight is 4.3 kg.

Otherwise, internally, we will have room to accommodate a mini-ITX motherboard. Nevertheless, given the dimensions of the case, you should not have expect to put a huge aircooling heatsink. Indeed, we have only 70 mm of height to integrate a cooling unit. The same is true for the power supply, with the possibility of installing a block in SFX-L format at the most.

For the graphics card, its maximum size will vary from 325 mm to 335 mm without SSD installed. Speaking of storage, this model can integrate up to 4 2.5″ units.

As far as ventilation is concerned, we have the right to two 120/140 mm slots on the upper side of the case. Otherwise, at the top, there are three slots for small 80 mm. Unfortunately, if you want to use a watercooling radiator, you’ll have to make do with a 120mm slot, provided you cut back on the length of the graphics card: 175mm. We can switch to 280 mm without GPU!

For the price, it will be ~around 160 € in Europe.
