When we tell you that not a week goes by without there being a new memory frequency record to break… This week, the new barrier to break is 12611 MT/s. This time, Patriot memory was used, and the motherboard was an ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF(tested here).
Patriot memory, the fastest RAM in the world: 12611 MT/s!
The German overclocker snakeeyes was in charge of all the hardware. In itself, the choice of configuration is nothing out of the ordinary, as we find ourselves using ASRock’s Z890 Taichi OCF, a card that has already been used in other RAM overclocking records.
Next, on the processor side, we find a Core Ultra 7 265K. Once again, to maximise stability and avoid crashes in order to validate the RAM frequency, the CPU only ran on two cores at a frequency of 411.22 MHz. What’s more, liquid nitrogen was used for cooling!
Finally, as far as memory is concerned, we find a Viper Xtreme 5 kit from Patriot. Here, the RAM was recorded at a real frequency of 6,305.8 MHz, i.e. 12611.6 MT/s. Unfortunately, we don’t have details of the frequency or the timings applied.
In any case, a big GG to the overclocker for its performance. As for us, we’ll just have to wait until next week for a new record!
Here’s the snakeeyes record sheet!
