Origin Code, GIGABYTE and Intel are taking advantage of Computex to announce a major advance in DDR5 memory with the presentation of a 4R CUDIMM (4-Rank Clocked Unbuffered DIMM) solution. This technology is aimed directly at high-end PC platforms, professional designers, overclocking enthusiasts and AI-related uses. The objective is clear: to offer very high memory capacity without sacrificing frequency or stability. Until now, reaching 256 GB of RAM on a consumer machine generally required the use of four DIMM modules. This configuration often resulted in lower memory frequencies and more difficult-to-guarantee stability.

Unlike conventional UDIMM modules, which are often limited to 64 GB per strip in dual-rank mode, Origin Code offers here modules of 128 GB each, enabling 256 GB to be reached with just two strips. The technical heart of this solution is the integration of a Clock Driver, or CKD, responsible for improving high-frequency signal integrity. This component enables high data rates to be maintained despite increased memory density.
The advertised standard configuration runs on DDR5-8000 MT/s, with CL64 timings, at a voltage of 1.1 V, in compliance with the JEDEC standard. But Origin Code goes one step further with its flagship 2 x 128 GB kit, again in DDR5-8000 MT/s, but this time with much more aggressive CL42 timings, at 1.4 V. This version showcases the brand’s expertise in memory tuning and overclocking. It promises improved system responsiveness, while maintaining massive bandwidth.
This memory is aimed at heavy-duty uses: local AI model training and inference, real-time 8K video editing, complex 3D rendering, virtualization, scientific computing and intensive multitasking. The platform has been validated with an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor and a GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS ELITE DUO X motherboard, demonstrating strong compatibility between memory, CPU and motherboard.
Origin Code will be demonstrating this configuration live throughout COMPUTEX 2026, in a limited-edition showcase system.
