Clearly, NVIDIA is in the process of paving the way for the arrival of its future RTX 5000s. To do this, the company is cutting back on its graphics card production, especially the top-of-the-range models. The consequences? Higher prices to come!
RTX 5000: NVIDIA is reportedly creating a favorable environment for their arrival!
Broadly speaking, we have learned that the company has reduced its production capacity for its mid-range and high-end cards. According to information obtained via ITHome, it would appear that this reduction in production is far from anecdotal. Depending on the model, the cut could be as much as 50%!
Of course, the point of all this is to generate demand for the new cards. To do this, we’re driving up prices, making the current generation rarer and, at the same time, allocating production lines to Blackwell. This will also free up inventories of current RTX 40s.
In any case, the RTX 50s are due to arrive, obviously not before next year, or so it seemed. As for the launch itself, we’re expecting to see RTX 5090s and RTX 5080s arrive, initially… That’s if things haven’t changed…
As for AMD, as you know, the brand’s response will focus on the mid-range sector. In principle, there should be no RADEON card to rival the RTX 5080/5090.
