NT09-1700 : a Silverstone heatsink with Intel radbox !

Very little news from Silverstone with the announcement of its small NT09-1700 heatsink. In fact, it is a very basic heatsink, without heatpipes, for a single socket: the LGA-1700!

NT09-1700: ultra basic heatsink from Silverstone!

Silverstone NT09-1700With this model, the Silverstone brand offers us a really basic heatsink in terms of design. Indeed, this model is just an aluminum block in which are machined fins. Here, no copper base or heatpipes, just aluminum, ditto for the base.

Finally, the air flow is brought by a mill of 95 x 95 x 25 mm powered by PWM. Its speed range extends from 500 RPM to 2500 RPM, it may seem quite high, but it remains quite classic considering the format. Finally, at full speed, the airflow will be 46.4 CFM and the static pressure of 3.14 mmH2O.

Fortunately, this model is very compact with dimensions of 96 mm on each side for a total height of 45 mm. It should therefore fit just about anywhere. Moreover, as far as its compatibility is concerned, it will only be able to go on LGA-1700 platforms. And even then, it should not be put on a too big CPU.

Finally, one of the advantages of this NT09-1700 should be its price (not yet announced) which should be limited. We can imagine it being under 15 euros, at most!
