No RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X for MSI…

Well, the RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X from MSI had a very, very short life. NVIDIA didn’t like the name of the card and asked MSI to withdraw it from sale, quite simply, one week after being unveiled. Indeed, the name is somewhat misleading.

RTX 3060 Ti Super 3X, finished before it even started!

MSI RTX 3060 Ti Super SuprimBasically, this RTX 3060 Ti “Super” is not a “Super” version in the true sense of the term. Indeed, if this denomination was used by NVIDIA to qualify its RTX 2000 refresh, it is not the case of the RTX 30. Here, there was no dusting of the range, so no “Super”.

In fact, with this model, MSI was simply offering a 3060 Ti equipped with faster GDDR6X memory chips. The “Super 3X” simply refers to the cooling system, which is actually from the Suprim series.

Anyway, the information here (via HKEPC) is that NVIDIA would have simply asked MSI to withdraw its card from sale. We imagine for reasons of denotation that could be confusing. Nevertheless, as a European, this news will not change our daily life since this model was mainly intended for the Asian market!
