Via the EEC website, the MSI brand has registered new names for its graphics cards. On the program: RTX 4070 E1 in Ventus 2X and 3X versions.
RTX 4070 E1: models equipped with GDDR6 memory?
As a reminder, there was a slight hiccup concerning the availability of GDDR6X memory, which prompted NVIDIA to adapt somewhat. And rather than see supply shortages of its biggest cards, the brand preferred to ease the pressure by releasing RTX 4070 models equipped with slower GDDR6 memory.
This special version of the card was launched on August 20, but two days later, on August 22, MSI listed four cards on the EEC website. These are the :
- Ventus 2X E1 12G OC
- Ventus 2X E1 12G
- Ventus 3X E1 12G OC
- Ventus 3X E1 12G
Clearly, the company is adapting well-known heatsinks, equipped with two (X2) and three (X3) fans, to these new boards. At the same time, we’re also treated to factory-overclocked versions.
It remains to be seen whether this is the RTX 4070 with GDDR6 memory. We can only speculate, since the references do not specify the type of memory used.
Little bonus: Wukong and S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 cards deposited!
With a little more digging on the EEC website, our Asian colleagues have come across a S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 version. Once again, it remains to be seen what this model will look like and for which geographical region it will be intended. Recently, we could count on a model featuring Wukong and World of Warcraft!
