Up to 192GB of DDR5 supported by MSI and Gigabyte motherboards!

MSI Gigabyte support DDR5 non-binaire 192 Go

Both MSI and Gigabyte announce good news about the maximum RAM capacity supported by their motherboards. Models based on Intel 600 series and 700 series chipsets support 24GB and 48GB modules. Thus, on boards with 4 DIMMs, the maximum memory capacity increases from 128 GB to 192 GB. If the card offers two DIMMs, the maximum RAM capacity increases from 64 GB to 96 GB.

This is good news, especially since it does not require any additional handling on the part of the user. Indeed, you just have to plug your RAM directly into your motherboard and enjoy. However, this does not concern DDR4 motherboards, even if they have the right chipset. Finally, the second little “hitch” is the availability of 24GB and 48GB kits which is currently non-existent…
