In the last few days, you can feel on social networks, the palpable excitement with the upcoming arrival of the X670 chipset from AMD. Some media are starting to receive the first samples, without processor for the most part, and the brands are unveiling part of their range. This is also the case at Aorus where we already know four models that will be available in the coming weeks and built on the X670 chipset.
Two first motherboards will be built around the high-end version of the chipset with the X670E. These are the X670E AORUS Extreme and X670E Aorus Master models. The “Extreme” version will have a power supply stage consisting of 18+2+2 phases with 110A mosfets. The socket of this new chipset becomes the AM5 but will keep the same center distance for the cooling systems. You will be able to keep your cooling solution that you already had on your AM4 motherboard.
Finally, two other motherboards built around the X670 are also in the catalog. There is an X670 AORUS Pro AX and an X670 AORUS Elite AX. We don’t have any information about the prices yet but stay tuned because we should get our hands on one of these samples very soon!
