A quick look at Asus, where we learn that the RTX 4090 Matrix will soon be launched globally. This card is the Asus model dedicated to overclocking. It has already achieved record GPU frequencies in the capable hands of Splave. Just recently, we told you about our visit to GamesCom!
RTX 4090 Matrix: towards a September 19 launch!
As a reminder, with this card, the brand is offering a high-end model featuring an AIO-type cooling system. This is connected to a 360 mm radiator with three 120 mm aRGB fans.
Contact with the GPU is via an imposing copper plate covering the graphics processor, memory and VRMs. However, unlike traditional boards, Asus uses liquid metal as the thermal interface. This complicates the production of the board. To prevent any damage caused by liquid metal “leakage”, UV resin has been applied to the GPU tower. This serves to protect the capacitors around the chip… And there’s yet another protective layer around the GPU.
In short, this is clearly an exclusive card. We don’t yet know the retail price, but we’re expecting a hefty bill. The announcement will take place on September 19 at 3 p.m. here, 9 a.m. in New York and 9 p.m. in Taipei.
