AMD is reportedly working on a new six-core processor, the Ryzen 5 7500. This new processor would slot in between the Ryzen 5 7500F and the Ryzen 5 7500X3D, with a price that would still place it close to the 7500X3D. The reason is reportedly linked to a hypothetical boxed version that includes a Radbox, while the CPU would feature integrated graphics!

Still a processor with six cores!
This processor would feature a CPU with 6 cores and 12 threads. The base clock speed would be 3.7 GHz, with a boost clock reaching 5 GHz. In terms of TDP, nothing out of the ordinary with a thermal design power of 65 W. As for cache, it’s said to total 38 MB, with 32 MB of L3 paired with 6 MB of L2.
Obviously, these specs place it very close to the Ryzen 5 7500F, particularly in terms of turbo frequency. However, the X3D model runs at a lower speed—4.5 GHz—due to its 3D V-Cache.
A price of €230?
The price listed byleaker Roland Quandt on Bluesky seems a bit steep, as it’s reportedly around 230 €. At that price, it competes directly with its X3D counterpart, which is available starting at 225 € at PC Componentes. However, this price difference may be justified by the inclusion of integrated Radeon Graphics, while the processor could be available in a boxed version with a Radbox included. All these small factors drive up the processor’s final price, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a better deal. In gaming, the X3D is likely to perform much better thanks to its X3D cache, while for everyday use, the F version is offered at a much more competitive price. Only time will tell if this CPU will manage to make a name for itself!
