Intel should finally get its US $8.5 billion!

0

As you know, Intel’s latest financial results were not good, with a loss of $1.6 billion. This considerably dampened the stock market, where the company was heavily devalued. In response, the company was laying off staff in droves, while foundry projects were postponed. Thus we learned that there would be no plant in Germany, at least not for the time being. The same goes for the CHIPS & Science Act in the USA. Well, whatever.

Intel should soon be entitled to its $8.5 billion funding in the U.S.!

Intel CHIPS & Science Act

While in Europe, we’re always the ones who get the short end of the stick (energy too expensive, lack of funding, too many standards, etc.), in the United States, the situation is clearly better. Indeed, a source close to the Financial Times indicates that the American subsidies granted under the CHIPS & Science Act could be paid to the company by the end of the year. Clearly, this would be good news for the company, which could then open new sites in Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio and Oregon.

This should enable the company to reassure investors and customers/consumers alike. We also expect the company’s share price to recover.

Intel has set itself the challenge of becoming a global semiconductor production hub. To achieve this, the company is banking on 18A to such an extent that “the future of the company” is based on this process. There’s no room for failure in this kind of bet!
