Intel Core i9 14900K / 13900K kings of crashes?

There are several reports of increasingly regular problems with the i9 14900K and i9 13900K. These two top-of-the-range Intel benchmarks are reported to be riddled with bugs, leading to system crashes and BSODs. At first, reports of crashes were random and rare. But for some time now, incidents have become more frequent, leading to BSODs with ” IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ” and other random errors. Unfortunately, instability seems to be caused in most cases by physical damage to the processor cores and cannot be permanently repaired.

Serial crashes of 14900k & 13900k: a known Intel problem?

Let’s be clear: at the moment, we have no precise idea of the scale of the problem, but reports are starting to come in much more regularly. No Soft solution is having any impact, and only a warranty return seems to be the solution to these problems.

So far, we have no logical explanation for this sum of problems. On Reddit, some claim that the performance-enhancing features integrated by certain motherboard brands are at the root of this problem. Users are therefore advised to disable all BIOS-level enhancements, such as ASUS Multicore Enhancement (MCE) and MSI’s one-click 6 GHz overclocking.

According to several English-speaking colleagues, Intel is aware of the concerns, but has remained silent. Nonetheless, the blueprint guarantees that the processors concerned will be placed under warranty.
