Core i9 14900KS new world frequency record!

The great thing about overclocking is that as soon as new hardware is released, it’s already overclocked. And that’s exactly what’s happened with the Core i9 14900KS, which has already reached 9.1 GHz in Elmor’s hands. A new world frequency record!

Core i9 14900KS: already 9.1 GHz, a world record!

Core i9 14900KS 9,11 GHz

For some time now, frequency records have been falling one after the other. Long held (August 2014) by The Stilt and its FX-8370 at 8.722 GHz, SuperO pushed a 13900K at 8.725 GHz in August 2023. Then, Safedisk took the lead again in January 2024 with a 14900KF pushed to 8.851 GHz overtaken by Wytiwx also with a 14900KF at 8.863 GHz.

Today, we learn that Elmor is outclassing all the rest with Intel’s latest CPU, the 14900KS. This is a frequency that gives it a comfortable head start, since the CPU was grinding at 9.117 GHz! To achieve such a score, liquid helium was used, a fluid even colder than liquid nitrogen.

Of course, a serious configuration was involved. The motherboard was none other than an ASUS Maximus Z790 Apex Encore, a model with all the features needed for extremeoverclocking.

At the same time, we learn that other world records have been set (beaten in the meantime) by SafeDisk:

This way to the new CPU frequency world record!
