We’d missed it, but AMD still seems to be developing drivers for its “old” cards. Indeed, GCN cards also benefit from a 23.9.2 driver, but this is a specific version.
23.9.2: a specific driver for RX 400/500/Vega/RADEON VII (GCN)!
With this version, we find roughly the same support additions for the games Lies of P, Party Animals and The Crew Motorfest. However, the changes are much more streamlined. In fact, the RADEON Anti-Lag part of the other driver will not be available for “recent” cards. These features don’t seem to be supported by these cards.
Apart from support for new games, there’s nothing more to get your teeth into. No new patches, other feature support or anything else. As a result, the Known Issues section displays only :
- Performance overlay may display ” N/A ” in the FPS box on some games.
Finally, there’s still some hope for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. However, we’re not very optimistic about the future of these maps. We’ll keep you posted. The good news is the driver’s weight: 624 MB compared with 1.2 GB for current cards!
