Hardware manufacturers seem to have a rather special relationship with gold. We remember the ASUS RTX 5090 produced with 5kg of gold, and now we learn that Gigabyte is offering you some with the purchase of its RTX 5090 Infinity 40Th Anniversary. Well, the quantities are less flattering, since we’re talking about 1g, but there’s always that special delirium with this precious metal!

Gigabyte RTX 5090 InfinityAs a reminder, this Infinity version is a card based on a Founders Edition PCB, but cooled by a heat sink like Gigabyte knows how to make. What’s more, the board was launched to mark the company’s 40th anniversary, so it’s also a symbolic model for the company. And to celebrate its launch, the company is running a highly original promotion: if you buy one of these cards, you’ll be offered 1g of pure 999 gold. Of course, the offer is conditional, and the company isn’t going to hand out stocks of gold to everyone without saying anything.

The first thing to remember is that the offer is limited geographically, to Taiwan only. Going through the import process won’t work; you need a Taiwanese invoice. Secondly, the offer is time-limited, since purchases have been eligible since May 25 and will remain so until June 7, 2026. Finally, you can only claim your money back until June 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Taiwan time.

Apart from that, you’ll still need to raise the money to buy the card. Indeed, this model is listed at NT$165 090, which still comes to US$5,250. In euros, after a silly conversion, the bill comes to around €4510. If we look at the etailers catalog, at the latest prices (as all 5090s are out of stock), this Infinity version would rank just below an MSI RTX 5090 Lightning Z!
