With its new bios, Gigabyte offers us, of course, to protect processors equipped with 3D V-Cache memory. These updates are optimized for these CPUs and highlight a secure SOC Voltage setting range. The aim is to reduce the risk of damage to both the motherboard and the processor.
We have seen it here the design of these processors, due to the 3D V-Cache, means that the more the voltages are increased, the more the heating is pronounced… But in a particularly important way, more than on Ryzen X and non-X. This heating literally damages the CPU on some pins connected to the VDDCR.
