With the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, graphics card manufacturers are in full swing. While Intel released its 101.4578 at the beginning of August, it was soon joined by NVIDIA and its GeForce 536.99 WHQL. All that’s missing now is AMD to complete the trifecta!

Baldur’s Gate 3: and a GeForce 536.99 WHQLD driver for NVIDIA!

GeForce 536.99 WHQL Baldur's Gate 3Among the new features, NVIDIA of course brings its share of optimizations for Baldur’s Gate 3, but that’s not all. This version is also intended for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Gord. With this, the greens slip a few optimal settings into GeForce Experience. These include Exoprimal, Jagged Alliance 3, Lost Judgment, Portal: Prelude RTX, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart and Remnant 2.

The icing on the cake is the patches that are deployed alongside the optis, in addition to the GeForce Experience settings. These include

  • Correction of tearing observed on Control in DirectX 12 on cinematics [4084000].
  • No longer a drop in stability on Battefield 2042 after applying a Freestyle filter via GeForce Experience [4170804].
  • Also in connection with FreeStyle filters, in-game stability will no longer drop on certain titles using DLSS3 Frame Generation [4171660].
  • Fixed stability issues on Dead Space [4140545].
  • Potential audio problems encountered with NVIDIA Broadcast effects for Elgato Wave Link have also been corrected.

Finally, a few minor issues remain:

  • Significant performance drops concerning Maxwell GPUs on Halo Infinite [4052711].
  • The DaVinci Resolve patch, which was supposed to correct stability problems with heavy memory loads, could do more harm than good in certain situations. A new patch will be deployed in a future driver update [4172676].
