ASUS caused quite a stir at Gamescom with the unveiling of several new products, including the new AMD X870E and X870 motherboards. But also in the field of displays, as the ROG Strix range is enriched by two new OLED models, one of which is the first to reach 480 Hz, while the other, more classic, offers a frequency of 360 Hz.

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP

The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is a 27-inch OLED display featuring a third-generation LG panel. It achieves a refresh rate of 480 Hz in 1440p. This is a world first for this type of panel. ASUS, true to its reputation, is often the first to offer this kind of breakthrough.

Thanks to OLED technology, this screen covers 99% of DCI-P3 and offers 10-bit color depth. What’s more, it boasts a response time of just 0.03 ms. The screen is DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, with a maximum brightness of 1300 cd/m² in HDR.

The display is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port and a USB hub with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 type A ports. Thanks to LG’s third-generation OLED screens, featuring Micro Lens Array technology, this display boasts a 20% increase in brightness over the previous generation of Asus OLED panels.

Advanced technologies :

As usual, ASUS equips its displays with numerous technologies and features. These include OLED Anti-Flicker, an anti-flicker technology that reduces flicker caused by refresh rate variations due to FPS (frames per second) fluctuations. This helps reduce eye fatigue, especially during long gaming sessions.

The screen also incorporates artificial intelligence. This AI optimizes the display according to content, improves visibility in games, and helps spot targets.

This panel offers a resolution of 1440p and a frequency of 360 Hz. What’s more, the screen incorporates ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) technology, which effectively reduces motion blur.

In terms of connectivity, the display features a DisplayPort 1.4 port and an HDMI 2.1 port. In addition, it features a USB Type-C port capable of delivering 90 watts.
