Fara 311: a Silverstone case with a 5.25″ bay!

0

Silverstone announces a new case, the Fara 311, a new model a bit “old school”. Indeed, we find the power supply slot above the motherboard in addition to a 5.25″ slot for optical drive. Moreover, we are speculating, but the price should also be aggressive!

Fara 311: the return of the 5.25″ bay at Silverstone!

Silverstone Fara 311With this new model, the brand offers us a clearly compact case displaying 183 (W) x 410 (D) x 360 (H) mm. It is also light with its 3.48 kg on the scale. Nevertheless, all this will have an impact on the compatibility with motherboards: micro-ATX at most. Internally, space is necessarily limited. Moreover, you should not be too greedy with a CPU fan since we have only 156 mm in height. As for the power supply, the brand announces the support of standard ATX PS2 block. Finally, for the graphics card, we have 354 mm available, and this, with the front fans in place. The ventilation is quite limited since we can only install three fans. We have, a 120 mm slot at the back followed by two 120/140 mm at the front. Moreover, on the front, we find a mesh grid for a better air flow. And before moving on to storage, you should know that the watercooling radiator support is limited to 240 mm maximum. Silverstone Fara 311 For storage, this model is distinguished by the presence of an ODD bay in 5.25″ compatible 2.5″/3.5″. Otherwise, there are two 3.5″/2.5″ slots completed by a 2.5″ only. Unfortunately, the selling price is not yet known, however, know that it should not be very high. Indeed, the PCIe brackets to be torn off are synonymous with an entry-level model.

This way to the Silverstone datasheet!
