After the launch of the EVGA X570 Dark we didn’t expect to see a FTW version coming. But EVGA surprised us by putting its latest creation on sale without even announcing it in advance!

X570 FTW : A motherboard that wants to be high-end !

The FTW range has always been for EVGA and its followers, the range dedicated to a public of gamers while keeping the DNA of the brand for overclocking. Indeed, this model is equipped with all the equipment dedicated to the practice: buttons for an out of case boot, bios switch, safeboot button, etc.. But also the 15 phases of power supplies to feed your Ryzen 3000 or Ryzen 5000.

As usual, EVGA offers us a rather particular design that we also find on the Z590 FTW. We find the famous yellow capacitors on the bottom left of the motherboard, indicating the presence of the NU audio system of the brand. But also the Heatsink VRM “Finstack” that the brand uses since the release of the Z590 FTW. And finally, the few audio, USB 2.0 and IO sockets at the bottom of the motherboard placed at 90°.

Technical specifications, we are on a 6-layer PCB with four memory slots (4600 MHz). Unlike the X570 Dark, this FTW keeps its socket and memory slots in the basic orientation. As for the power supply, we are on 8+4 pin EPS12V for the CPU, no additional 6-pin PCIe connector for the PCIe slots.

While we’re at it, this model comes with two PCIe 4.0 x16 connectors. With two graphics cards, they will work in x8/x8, moreover, the card claims to be SLI compatible.

For the rest, this model offers a total of eight SATA connectors and two M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4.

Now we come to the selling price of this model which is $499.99. The price may seem quite high considering the specifications of the motherboard. And, compared to what the competition is offering for $500. But we should not forget that EVGA only produces its motherboards in small series.
