New power supply series from EVGA. The brand unveils new power supplies from its SuperNOVA XC series. These power supplies comply with the new ATX 3.0 standard and feature 12VHPWR connectivity!

SuperNOVA XC series: EVGA ATX 3.0 power supplies in 850W and 1000W!

EVGA Supernova XC SeriesWith its new power supplies, EVGA is actually offering two blocks with 850W and 1000W power ratings. Likewise, these power supplies benefit from 80+ Gold certification and fully modular cable management. And, of course, the indispensable 12VHPWR to power NVIDIA’s latest cards is also included.

Internally, of course, we find capacitors of 100% Japanese origin. These power supplies also feature a half-bridge design with resonant LLC circuitry and a DC-DC converter. Being ATX 3.0 compliant, these references can deliver up to 2x their total power and up to 3x for graphics cards in a short space of time. Last but not least, electrical protection: OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP and OTP!

Finally, as regards connectivity, the 1000W model features a 24-pin ATX and 2x EPS12V CPU in 4+4 pins. The graphics section benefits from six PCIe 6+2 pins and a 12VHPWR. Only the peripherals remain, with twelve SATA and four Molex. The 850W version loses two PCIe 6+2 pins and three SATA.

The price tag for the 850W version is $169.99, compared with $199.99 for the 1000W version.
