Cooler Master announces a new case model with its Elite 450. While it certainly isn’t as high-end as the HAF II 500, it’s a more entry-level model designed for more compact motherboard form factors. What’s more, the brand hasn’t overlooked cooling, incorporating two 160 mm fans mounted behind a mesh grille!
Elite 450: a compact case designed for optimal airflow!
Two 160 mm fans in this Elite 450!Â
In terms of dimensions, this is a fairly compact case measuring 208 (W) x 392 (D) x 396 (H) mm. Inside, the motherboard tray is compatible with micro-ATX and mini-ITX models. Unfortunately, this model isn’t compatible with BTF motherboards; you’ll need to choose a different model for that.
As for the rest of the components, you’ll need to pay close attention to the size of the graphics card, since the case only accommodates models up to 317 mm in length. Depending on the model, this can be tricky. As for the CPU cooler, there’s plenty of room with a height of 163 mm, while the power supply has a depth of 160 mm.
By default, cooling is provided by three RGB fans, including a 120 mm fan mounted as an exhaust fan at the rear. But the most interesting feature is the front panel, which has two large 160 mm fans. If desired, you can supplement the cooling with two 120/140 mm fans at the top and two 120 mm fans at the bottom. As for liquid cooling, Cooler Master hasn’t announced compatibility with radiators, which is a shame.
No retail price has been announced yet:Â
Now, we just need to determine the retail price of this case. However, since it’s part of the Elite series, we can expect it to be affordable. A price between €60 and €80 would seem reasonable to us, but we don’t know what Cooler Master is thinking!
