Grand Theft Auto 6 is obviously one of the most anticipated titles of the year, with a release date set for November 19. While Rockstar Games is preparing an extensive presentation on Netflix on August 27, a leaker known as CYBERLEEK has gotten a head start by posting gameplay clips and what appears to be the entire map of the Leonida world.

These leaks, reportedly from an earlier version of the game potentially dating back to 2024, offer a substantial first glimpse into the game’s development. Although Rockstar has had time to modify or remove elements since that version, the details revealed are numerous and intriguing for fans.
The Credibility of the Leaks and the Map of Leonida
The legitimacy of these clips is reinforced by Take-Two’s actions, as the company has issued DMCA takedown notices against videos containing this footage. In a context where AI-generated fake content is becoming increasingly convincing, this reaction from the publisher strongly suggests that these are highly credible leaks.
As for the world, Leonida’s map appears vast and is divided into five counties: Vice Dale, Mariana, Kelly, Leonard, and Lummox. The leaks show a variety of environments, ranging from the streets of Vice City to swamps and mountains, as well as an airport on a small island to the south. A recent clip even shows Jason flying over the city in a plane. The rendering quality is quite impressive, with graphics comparable to those in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
New Gameplay and Combat Systems
Several new mechanics have been spotted in the videos. A stamina system appears to limit repeated physical actions, such as hitting a delivery driver with a wrench. At the same time, an honor system is hinted at by an emoji beneath Jason’s icon, which changes expression after a police encounter, reminiscent of the karma system in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The Wanted system may also evolve with the return of a six-star level. Icons representing clothing, a face, and a vehicle appear below the Wanted level, indicating that the police might identify the suspect based on their appearance or mode of transportation. This would pave the way for new escape strategies, such as changing outfits or switching cars.
Finally, weapon management appears to be more methodical. “Loadout” and “Storage” pop-ups indicate that players won’t carry all weapons at all times but will be able to choose specific equipment. Options like “Defuse” or “Warn” during interactions with NPCs also suggest more context-sensitive dialogue.
Many minor details have also been noted, such as water physics, ray tracing, the ability to swim, steal objects, and even take regenerative pills like “Zombix.” These leaks, although from an older version, paint a rich and immersive picture of GTA 6.
