As for Cryorig, things seem rather complicated. Indeed, the last we heard of the brand was when the R5 was released. As a reminder, this was a single-tower, slim cooler mounted with a 140 mm push/pull fan. But that was back in 2020, and since then, radio silence… Until today, when the brand’s Facebook page shows renewed activity and even teases a new cooler.
Cryorig, renewed activity and even a tease of a new ventirad!
A few years ago, Cyrorig was a rising brand on the CPU heatsink scene. It offered high-performance, beautifully finished products with simple assembly and well-stocked accessory sections. However, it’s been a few years since the company has given any sign of life, and its products have all but disappeared from our shelves. A few references can be found here and there.
Three days ago, the Facebook page showed a little renewed interest, with a new cover. Clearly, Covid has taken its toll on the company, which seems to be back in the spotlight.
And what better way to do this than to tease a new cooler. For the moment, we know nothing about this new product. However, it’s a safe bet that it’s a dual-tower heatsink. As you can see, the aluminum fin stacks feature two sets of steel claws, synonymous with two fans.
Moreover, this model seems to be all about compactness. At first glance, it has an eccentric base, with the first fan arriving at the front screw of the mounting tab. Then, its height seems rather reduced, while the finish is as meticulous as ever. A top cover can now be seen.
In any case, we’re keeping a close eye on it.
