The Colorful brand, also known for its graphics cards, has just announced a new RAM kit. The Asian manufacturer has announced the arrival of its ICICLE CVN memory in DDR5. A kit that promises to be particularly playful in overclocking.
CVN ICICLE: a 6600 MT/s kit, but already overclocked to 5353.9 MHz!
On the menu, the brand puts forward a memory kit of 32 GB in 2x 16 GB. The latter displays a base frequency of 6600 MT/s with timings in CL34 with a voltage of 1.4V.
In addition, internally, we find a 10-layer PCB coupled with SK Hynix A-Die memory chips. Obviously, the whole thing is very playful in overclocking since the iGame LAB team team managed to push it to 5353.9 MHz (~10700 MT/s). However, the memory was running on a single module and the timings had to be readjusted to 56-126-126-127-127-2.
Otherwise, we will retain the presence of a particularly neat aluminum heatsink. Of course, we also have the right to a light bar on the top of the strip so as not to reduce the footprint.
We finish with the price, which looks rather affordable: only $105. As for the availability, it seems to be set for this quarter.
