[CES2025] Alphacool ready with its 5090/5080 waterblocks

Alphacool is a brand we know well on OCC, since we’ve already had the opportunity to review several of their waterblocks. The brand has announced that it is already ready to cool NVIDIA’s forthcoming cards, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. Although this new waterblock retains an air of resemblance with the previous generation, Alphacool announces that it has been completely redesigned to optimize cooling. This is an integral waterblock, responsible for keeping the graphics chip, memory chips and power supply stages cool.

Alphacool seems to have already put its waterblock through its paces, carrying out numerous simulations on the various PCB components in order to come up with the best-performing block. These new blocks are part of the “Core” series, the name of which is engraved in the center of the maze, the waterblock’s internal circuit.

Alphacool has also opted for chrome plating instead of nickel plating on the copper, resulting in longer protection and a smoother finish. All waterblocks come with a backplate, thermal pads and a tube of thermal paste.

Alphacool has announced a price of 199.98 euros for both the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 waterblocks, with availability scheduled for January 30, the launch date of these two new graphics cards by NVIDIA.
