[CES 2024] Le Thermaltake DR. Power III

0

Early this evening, part of the team present at CES 2024 sent us a photo from the Thermaltake stand that piqued our curiosity. After a bit of research, we realized that it was version III of DR. Power, a tool offered by Thermaltake for testing your power supply. You can test it either manually or by running a self-test of the voltages of your various cables.

This new Thermaltake DR. Power III supports all power supplies up to ATX12V 3.1. The special feature of this version III is that it has a 12 4-pin connector like those found on NVIDIA graphics cards.

Testing your power supply with DR. Power III, nothing could be simpler. You plug the various connectors of your power supply directly into the diagnostic tool. The screen will then display the connectors connected to the DR. Power. Press and hold for 5 seconds to start the self-test and check the output voltages. If no fault is detected, the screen will remain white. If no fault is detected, the display will light up red and DR. Power III will emit a “beep”.

We don’t yet know when Thermaltake’s new tool will be available or the launch price. Version II of the DR. Power is still available for 40 euros.
