We know it, the next motherboards from AMD will cost a kidney. This can already be seen where the cheapest X670 model is priced at ~320 €! Well, this scenario seems to be repeated for the more affordable models like the B650. According to a first leak, the most affordable MSI card would sell for $199 USD!
B650: first price leak?
Via the reseller B&H Photo Video, we can already have a first price leak concerning the AM5 “budget” boards. Indeed, the B650/E motherboards from MSI can be found on the merchant’s website. Nevertheless, the prices are far from being “budget” since the most accessible model is already priced at $200.
At this price, we find a Pro B650M-A WiFi, a card in micro-ATX format. Then the prices rise crescendo to reach $329.99 with the MPG B650 Carbon WiFi.
However, these prices are not to be taken at face value since we are dealing with a leak. Moreover, our colleagues at VideoCardz are talking about AMD ‘s promise to offer AM5 cards starting at $125. We’ll have to keep an eye on this, especially since the B650s should be launched this month.
