Asus shows its RX 7900 XT and XTX TUF Gaming

In the wake of the presentation of the AMD RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT, Asus has presented its own versions of the new GPUs through its RX 7900 TUF Gaming series. If for the moment the manufacturer does not give technical information or price, it is likely that the 7900 XTX and 7900 XT TUF Gaming have a relatively light customization allowing these references to remain relatively cheap and alternatives to cards “made in” AMD. The main point will be the aesthetics and the reinforcement of the thermal dissipation. ASUS confirms that these cards will be available in December at the time of the official release. The presentation was made directly by the brand during a streaming that you can find here.

The only fantasy claimed by Asus is that both models will require triple 8-pin power connectors, so one more than the versions offered by AMD. Let’s not forget that the power connectors will still be classic on these RX 7000’s. We’ll have to see if the addition of this connector allows us to go for higher frequencies and thus improve performance. Asus has announced that it has worked on the back plate to open up even more space for air circulation. Thus the total heat dissipation area would be increased by 22.8% compared to the AMD reference design. A Dual BIOS switch allows you to choose between performance and silent modes, or make manual settings with the in-house GPU Tweak III software.

Other brands are expected with more daring versions such as PowerColor in particular.
