ASUS and MSI raise the price of the RTX 5090 and 5080 on their stores

Well, we’re not going to go over the launch of the RTX 50 again, which was as brief as a flash because stocks were so low. High demand vaporised them, sometimes in a matter of minutes, and now you have to wait weeks for stocks to return. However, this high level of demand is pushing up prices… While no cards are in stock, the prices of the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 from MSI and ASUS are rising on their respective stores!

RTX 5090 and 5080 prices up by over $500 at ASUS and MSI!

Stonks RTX 5090 - RTX 5080

These price rises concern the American stores of the two brands, where prices are sometimes literally exploding. Remember that the two NVIDIA cards, the 5090 and 5080, were officially launched at $1,999 and $999 respectively. Now, at both retailers, there doesn’t seem to be a single card left at MSRP! Even entry-level models such as the Ventus series (non-OC) in 5090 are priced at $2,379 at MSI, an extra $380! The price of more premium models is also very high, such as the Suprim Liquid at around $2,790.

As for ASUS, the situation isn’t much better either. Take the brand’s premium model, the Astral Liquid, which was already priced at $3,099 on the day of its launch. Now the card costs an extra $311… The card costs one French minimum wage more than NVIDIA’s official price, which is already very high. And, once again, don’t count on the more entry-level models to save you money… Well, factually, they’re cheaper, but they’re still a lot more expensive than the price recommended by the Greens. For example, the RTX 5080 Prime OC is priced at $1,320, this is a rational card with a compact heatsink designed to fit into SFF cases!
