Thermalright announces again and again new heatsinks. Today, it concerns its Assassin King 120, a side flow in 120 mm. This model has the particularity to propose five copper heatpipes mounted in direct-touch !

Assassin King 120 : five heatpipes in direct-touch !

Thermalright Assassin King 120At first sight, it looks like a Burst Assassin 120, don’t you think? Well, we would be tempted to say that it is the same base and yet not. First of all, it is more compact in size: 120 (W) x 46 (D) x 148 (H) mm.

The other big difference is the radiator itself. Indeed, this new model lands with a total of five copper heat pipes of 6 mm against six for the Burst. Then, on this version, they will come into direct contact with the processor, which is not the case with the other model.

However, both heatsinks share the same fan, a TC-C12C in 120 mm. The fan therefore benefits from a PWM power supply and will operate at up to 1550 RPM. At full speed, the airflow will reach 66.17 CFM and the static pressure will rise to 1.53 mmH2O.

Finally, socket compatibility remains as classic as ever with support for “mainstream” motherboards. LGA-1000 and AMD AM4 platforms are still compatible.

Nevertheless, still no price!
