And an Intel 101.4578 Beta driver for Baldur’s Gate 3!

The last few days have been full of graphics driver releases. And today, we’re back on Intel’s side, with a beta version of its driver. The new version, 101.4578, focuses on Baldur’s Gate 3.

Intel 101.4578: a driver for Baldur’s Gate 3!

Baldur's Gate 3 - Intel Arc GPU Graphics Driver 101.4578 BETAUnfortunately, this new driver only offers support for Baldur’s Gate 3, and that’s all. Admittedly, the driver features the optimizations needed to play the game properly, but that’s all. So there are no additional fixes to be found in this version.

Instead, we’re left with the following list of identified problems:

  • Intel Arc Graphics Products:
    • Shadow of the Tomb Raider may crash after loading the game
    • The system may crash on standby. A reboot may be necessary.
    • Hardware acceleration may not be available for media playback and encoding with some versions of Adobe Premiere Pro.
    • Topaz Video AI may encounter errors when using certain templates for video enhancement.
    • Blender 3.6 may crash in rendering when hardware Ray Tracing is active
    • Adobe After Effects may crash during rendering operations
  • Intel Iris Xe MAX Graphics Products:
    • Driver installation may not complete successfully on some notebooks equipped with both Intel Iris Xe and Iris Xe MAX. A reboot and reinstallation of the driver may be required to complete the installation.
  • Intel Core Processor Products:
    • Visual corruptions may occur with certain light sources such as fire on Call of Duty Warzone 2 (DirectX 12).
  • Arc Control:
    • With some games, Arc Control Studio may incorrectly generate multiple video files.
    • WhenIntel Control is installed, abnormally high power consumption may be encountered in standby or hibernation mode.
    • On-screen camera previews may persist incorrectly when switching between desktop and overlay modes.
    • When using an HDMI connection, the “Display” page may incorrectly show DisplayPort in the “Connector” tab.
    • A ” Stream already ended ” pop-up may appear after Capture/Highlights/Broadcast have been activated.
