More graphics card drivers… This is definitely the day. This time, we’re taking a break from NVIDIA to take a look at AMD. AMD has released its RADEON Software 23.5.2 for Diablo IV.
RADEON Software 23.5.2: ready for Diablo IV!
This new version of the RADEON driver provides support for Diablo IV, scheduled for release on June 6. Secondly, AMD promises doubled performance on Microsoft Olive DirectML for Stable Diffusion 1.5, compared with the previous version of the driver (23.5.1).
These are the only new features offered by this driver. Unfortunately, there are no fixes. Nevertheless, a number of problems have been identified:
- Strong idle power consumption can be observed on a situational basis at high resolutions and high refresh rates with RX 7000s.
- Some VR games/applications may experience sub-optimal performance or even stuttering with RX 7000s.
- Crashes can be observed when playing RuneScape on certain RADEON cards such as the RX 5700 XT.
- Crashes or timeouts can be observed when playing back AV1 video content on DaVinci Resolve Studio .
- Intermittent corruptions can be observed when changing windows while playing Nioh 2 on certain RADEON boards such as the RX 6800 XT.
