An Arc B580 dual-GPU in the pipeline?

We’re heading for Intel, where we’ve learned that one of the brand’s partners is preparing a graphics card model that is, to say the least, original. We’re talking about a dual-gpu card, a solution that we haven’t seen for a loooooong time, especially in the consumer sector. Of course, all this is to be taken with serious reservations, and the photo below is for illustrative purposes only.

As you can see, this illustration will not be entered in the deepfake of the year competition 🙂

After a 24GB version spotted by the EEC, a new, even crazier rumour has surfaced: that of a dual-GPU version. Apparently, the card is being prepared by one of Intel’s partners and is based on a classic design: two GPUs on a single PCB. In practice, this would mean gluing two cards together, one in line with the other, and that’s all there is to it.

So we’d have double the features, with a total of 40 Xe cores and 5120 shaders. In terms of memory, the configuration would feature 2x 24 GB of VRAM via two 192-bit buses.

If such a card is in the pipeline, we’d be interested to see what it would look like in practice. In any case, we can reasonably count on a power supply with two 8-pin PCIe, a heatsink and a longer PCB.

In any case, it’s highly unlikely that this model will be aimed at gamersMulti-GPU support having been abandoned a long time ago in video games. No, it’s more likely that this model is aimed at professionals, especially AI professionals. Yes, the 2x24GB capacity is a bit of a red flag here, as the original version of the card has 12GB of memory. Once again, an announcement could be made at Computex.
