AMD has released a new graphics driver, the Adrenalin Preview Driver version 24.20.11.01. This version includes support for new games such as GoW Ragnarok and Frostpunk 2.
Adrenalin Preview Driver: a driver for GoW Ragnarok!
The programme includes support for new games. The list of titles is as follows:
- Frostpunk 2
- God of War: Ragnarok
- The Sims 4 DirectX 11 Update
With this, the Reds are extending RADEON Boost support to Final Fantasy XVI. They’re also adding HYPR-RX profiles for Black Myth: Wukong, Creature of Ava and God of War: Ragnarok. Finally, Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT benefits from automatically configurable Anti-Lag 2 support.
The patches :
For a preview driver, we’ll be highlighting a number of patches deployed:
- Fixed intermittent driver application timeouts or crashes on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
- No more timeouts or driver application crashes on Space Marine 2 with certain AMD cards such as the RX 5700 XT on certain maps.
- The same goes for Final Fantasy: XVI during certain cinematics with certain AMD cards such as the RX 6600 XT.
- Black Myth: Wukong will no longer have shadows that are too dark when the global illumination is set to medium or higher.
- Gone are the corruptions seen when playing Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT while using Record & Streaming with HDR enabled.
- AMD Software: Adrenalin can launch unexpectedly when coming out of standby.
- Finally, AMD has corrected audio/video desynchronisation when recording via AMD Software: Adrenalin using the AV1 codec.
Known issues :
Finally, we end with two small issues identified by the reds :
- Inconsistent performance on DayZ when entering certain zones.
- Pilot timeouts or intermittent application crashes can occur on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 with certain AMD cards such as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370iGPU. In the event of a problem, disable hardware acceleration scheduling in the default Windows graphics settings.
