New driver update from AMD which releases its AMD Software Adrenalin in version 23.4.2. This new version prepares the ground for the arrival of Dead Island 2 and brings support for Boundary. Performance gains have already been noted from Team Red!
AMD Software Adrenalin 23.4.2: a driver for Dead Island 2!
Of course, the main novelty of this driver is the addition of Dead Island 2 support. The brand is already announcing performance gains of around +14% in UHD compared to the 23.4.1 driver with RX 7900 series. These gains reach +15% in the same conditions with RX 6000 series.
Otherwise, we note the addition of support for the Boundary game as well as new Vulkan extensions.
Concerning the patches, AMD corrects four points which are as follows:
- Fixing cubic water on Red Dead Redemption 2 using the VulkanAPI.
- Missing text or a white disk that may appear on Google Earth VR has been fixed.
- Fixed intermittent application crashes when activating the render preview window on Unreal Engine 5.
- There will no longer be a white or black screen following the driver update on some display configurations.
