It is a bit unnoticed that AMD publishes its new driver since it does not adopt the usual naming scheme. Indeed, the latest version of AMD, especially dedicated to The Last of Us part 1 is called 22.40.43.05. Hard to find if you don’t know it!
An AMD driver optimized especially for The Last of Us part 1!
When we see the disaster that is the PC port of TLOU, we think that a driver specially optimized for it is welcome. This is what AMD proposes with its new driver.
Apart from that, nothing new, we find ourselves with the following list of known problems:
- Situational high idle power consumption can be observed with RX 7000 series with high resolution screens or with high display frequencies.
- Stuttering or performance drops can be observed in game playback of video content on certain display configurations with RX 7000s.
- Substandard performance may be observed on games or VR applications.
- Video played back on browsers with hardware acceleration may be blurry. This happens when upgrading some RADEON products like the RX 7900 XT.
- Brief corruptions may occur when switching from a video to a game on some AMD products like the RX 6700 XT.
- The mouse cursor may become invisible on Citrix Workspace!
Now, if you want to have some optimizations on The Last of Us Part 1, this is the place to be!
Here is the 22.40.43.05 driver from AMD!
