Alpine 17: a cooler for socket LGA-1700!

Arctic Alpine 17With this 17 version, Arctic continues the tradition of Alpine fans which are quite basic and very affordable models. Specifically, we have the right to compact heatsinks measuring 96.2 mm on a side and 77 mm in height only. Clearly, it will fit on all motherboards and in all cases.

The radiator is extremely basic since it is a simple aluminum block in which the fins are machined. Otherwise, no copper base or heatpipes… We tell you, it is very basic.

The brand entrusts the cooling to a small mill in 92 mm placed on the top. The latter benefits from a PWM power supply and will operate from 100 RPM to 2000 RPM. Unfortunately, we will not know more about the air flow or the static pressure, it’s a shame. You should also know that this model is available with a fan called CO for Continuous Operation. On this version, the fan will be able to work permanently without risk of breakage.

Otherwise, we will retain the quick assembly system without tools via a push-pin mechanism. Also, the thermal paste is pre-applied as standard and it is the MX-4 of the brand, the same one we used during our tests. Finally, we will remember the unique compatibility with the Intel LGA-1700 socket.

As for the price, it will cost 14.99 € for the Alpine 17 CO against 13.99 € for the non-CO version.
