A first test for the RTX 4080?

0

We are only a few days away from the launch of the RTX 4080 (November 15) and cards are already circulating. This obviously leads to the appearance of the first leaks, which we bring to you here with all the usual precautions regarding reliability. In this case, the RTX 4080 would have been tested under Geekbench with three different graphics APIs: Vulkan, OpenCL and CUDA. For the exercise, the data obtained was compared to the RTX 3080 and 3090 Ti. The test platform was an ASUS ROG Crosshair X670 Extreme motherboard and a Ryzen 7 7950X processor. The RTX 4080 would get 248K, 300K and 148K points respectively in OpenCL, CUDA and Vulkan tests in Geekbench tests.

However, it’s still too early to make any predictions since Nvidia has a habit of delivering the final drivers only a few hours before the launches to limit leaks. We know that the arrival of the 4080 has already been eventful even before its launch since the 12GB model was abruptly cancelled. This 4080 should logically be in opposition with the new RX 7900XTX and 7900 XT from AMD whose price positioning is more aggressive for the moment.
