If all goes well, NVIDIA will be announcing its future graphics cards (the RTX 50s) at CES in early January. At the time of this announcement, we’re expecting at least two cards to be presented, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, which have already caused quite a stir. The little bonus will be the presentation of the RTX 5070 (Ti), but nothing is less certain.
Secondly, we learn that the EEC site, the Eurasian Economic Commission, is registering no fewer than 20 RTX 50 references from NVIDIA!
20 RTX 50s registered on the EEC website!
As you can see, a whole host of names have been registered on the EEC site, including some rather outlandish cards that we’ve never even heard of, like the RTX 5050 Ti Super for example. Incidentally, this submission is in complete contrast to a previous rumour claiming that NVIDIA would not be offering an RTX 50 Super… But things can change quickly when dealing with rumours. That’s why you shouldn’t take rumours at face value.
In any case, the EEC website should not be taken as gospel, far from it. In fact, this commission simply registers brand names for compliance and labelling purposes. Moreover, it is not uncommon for names or references to be registered in order to ‘block the niche’ with a view to a possible launch at a later date, and in our opinion this is what has happened here.
What’s more, it’s rather surprising not to see the RTX 5090D registered, despite the fact that the EEC includes countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, some of which fall under US sanctions… Starting with Russia.
